The only person you are ever truly in competition with is the person staring at you in the mirror.

There are over 7 Billion unique individuals on this planet, each fighting their own battle and living in their own world. It’s fine if you’re playing sports or gaming with other people, but competing with others in terms of money or jobs or relationships just doesn’t make sense.
There are tons of things that happen that are out of your control. But there are lots of things that you can control.
There are three things you can control:
1) The thoughts you think;
2) The images you hold in your mind; and
3) The actions you take.
Focus on these. Don’t worry about what else is happening around you or what you cannot control.
Stop being jealous of things other people have that you don’t. You and I live in an abundant world. There is more than enough wealth to go around; you just haven’t done what you need to do yet to build yours. And jealously is nothing more than the fear of losing something you never had in the first place. What’s the point?
Compete with the person in the mirror. Make more money than the person in the mirror. Become a better person than the person in the mirror. That is the only true and fair competition, and that’s a competition worth winning.
